My Top 5 Candles of 2020
When I shop for a candle, I look and smell for something that isn't generic or artificial. I love a good upscale scent rather than something like pumpkin spice. I enjoy scents that are calm, an amazing blend of different flowers, and I love jars that are larger than 5oz and sometimes have a unique shape. Candles can set the mood for ANYTHING. Whether it be a good start to the day, a wind down from a hard day. In my house, lighting a candle is a message for the blessing of being awake and having a clean home. So here's my list of suggestions: 1. Le Chandelle Candles, Midnight Breeze, 14oz. This gorgeous candle was designed in California, hand poured, and uses natural soy wax. Soy provides a softer scent experience with every candle I own. I 100% stand behind this brand because they're smaller so the attention to quality is almost perfect. 2. M. of W.G., Wood Smoke & Apple, 14.7oz. This scent is a little more masculine but not too much like male cologne. It reminds me a lot of what the men's section at Bath&Body Works smells like. But again, not overpowering. 3. Bloom and Prosper, Smoke Rose, 11.5oz. First let me say, Bloom and Prosper is one of my favorite candle brands. Every thing they produce is incredible and smells perfect in my home. I have another favorite coming up from this brand next. 4. Bloom and Prosper, Harmony, 8.7oz. This is my favorite candle, year to date. The B&P website describes the scent as "Sweet nectar, almond milk and heliotrope highlighted by jasmine and carnation fused with cashmere wood". Long story short, an unforgettable scent that leaves you wishing that you ordered a triple wick size rather than a single. 5. Opalhouse, Midnight Tiger Lily, 4.8oz. I actually bought this candle this past weekend because I caught it on clearance at Target. The scent is very powerful but not overwhelming in a small space. The Target website describes this scent as "fresh aroma of fig, orange and lily". Its girly, to say the least, and I love it!
